As we have done since the inception of the event more than 10 years ago, Ship-Right Solutions recently participated in the Response Expo, held in San Diego, CA. This annual event is combines both educational and networking opportunities in the Direct Response industry that we proudly service. The fact that the event is held at the beautiful San Diego – Hilton Bayfront Hotel, is of course an awesome feature for all of us that attended.
This year Ship-Right Solutions helped support the event by not only attending but by being an exhibitor on the Show floor. This typically provides us with a meeting place for our industry network and Clients but also allows us the opportunity to meet with attendees. With more than 2000 attendees registered for the 3 day event, we were able to connect and reconnect with the people we had hoped to.
John Yarrington, Executive Direct of the DRMA, delivered a great opening message, which was about embracing change in the Direct Response industry as consumers shift their attention from TV/Radio to the exploding Digital world. John then introduced the Keynote Speaker of the event which was truly a childhood hero of mine, Sugar Ray Leonard.
This year’s event had some very compelling and valuable educational sessions, which were held right on the Show Floor. Included in these sessions was one titled: Social Media as a Media Outlet. The focus was on how Marketers are capitalizing on the exploding on-line opportunities, such as Facebook and other social media platforms. Included in the highly respected panel of speakers was Dr. Asim Ahktar, Owner of The Kyoku Corporation and a long time Client of Ship-Right Solutions. The panel covered topics that included testing, scaling and the need to stay on top of compliance.
