Case Study #110 – Vital Basics, Inc.

Challenge:
Vital Basics, a leading marketer of dietary supplements and nutraceuticals was implementing a free trial program via Direct Response TV, radio, print and web on a national level featuring its flagship product Focus Factor.

VBI needed a fulfillment partner capable of handling large order volumes and cost was a critical element. They needed a partner with the technology and discipline to keep pace and adapt to their changing product campaigns and membership programs. Case Study #865 – Great Original Designs

Challenge:
Great Original Designs, makers of “The Turtle” back pain relief device, created a direct to consumer marketing campaign on both the web and national radio. With very promising initial success, their advertising efforts yielded a sudden yet prolonged spike in orders. They had struck a marketing vein that was going to prove very fruitful, but their current fulfillment provider was struggling to keep up with the growth. Great Original Designs needed to make sure that the success of their advertising was not spoiled by slow or inaccurate fulfillment, and had only a short period of time to address the issue.

Solution:

Case Study #460 – Globecast / World TV

Challenge:
World TV, the leading aggregator and distributor of international television in America, needed to replace their serialized, digital “Smart Cards” to their entire active customer base, to combat piracy and to unlock additional benefits of their ever-advancing service offering. With a customer base numbering in the tens-of-thousands and a network of distributors and technical resources involved, the project required careful planning and precise execution.

Case Study #885 – A Major Nationwide Marketer of Collectibles

Challenge:
A major national marketer of collectibles needed an outsourced partner to handle the high volume of acquisition orders that were generated by their annual mailing and print campaigns. With a success story spanning more than 60 years, their existing infrastructure is a vast and highly specialized operation, thus the client needed a cost effective, secure outsourced option to process a large amounts of shipments, within a limited time frame. They required extremely tight inventory control and adherence to a defined service level schedule under wildly fluctuating order volume.

Challenge:
Soothsoft needed to eliminate the overhead expense associated with operating its own fulfillment and customer service center in Colorado. The company felt that it was critical to focus its resources on the expansion of their product lines and customer base.

Solution:
Ship-Right presented SoothSoft with a proposal complete with a menu of services, freight discounts and operating procedures that clearly demonstrated an overall reduction of costs and an increase in efficiency.
Within 90 days, Ship-Right coordinated the logistics of moving an entire warehouse of inventory and equipment cross-country and began order fulfillment within 5 days of shutting down the Colorado operation.

Challenge:
Direct Alternatives came to Ship-Right Solutions needing a fulfillment partner that could integrate with their order taking and customer service providers in a short period of time. Their product lines were rapidly expanding across multiple channels, with significant success. Timely fulfillment, accurate inventory management, and automated integration with their own database became paramount to continuing the momentum of their campaigns.

Case Study #480 – Organized From the Start

Challenge:
After several years of effective grass-roots marketing, Organized from the Start landed an opportunity to distribute their “BabyBriefcase” product nationwide through the Nordstrom department store chain. Having previously distributed their product directly to consumers and through small to medium specialty retail stores, Organized from the Start needed to utilize EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) in order to keep the Nordstrom business.

Solution:
Ship-Right Solutions implemented a flexible EDI software platform, capable of interacting with the hundreds of retail entities nationwide. Now several bulk orders are leaving the dock each week, generating revenue to support additional direct marketing and internet efforts, as well as product line expansion.

Case Study #850 – The Winning Combination USA

Challenge:
The Winning Combination had established wide distribution and sales channels for their product lines throughout Canada. They needed to focus their efforts on expanding the distribution of product through their US based entity, using both a direct response campaign and a retail model. They had a proven product on hand, and needed a one-stop fulfillment solution in the States that could accommodate direct-to-consumer as well as EDI compliant distribution. Additionally, The Winning Combination intended to build a strong e-commerce presence by utilizing multiple e-sources, and needed a fulfillment center capable of accepting a variety of data formats, processing the business, managing the distribution and providing the customer support.

Solution:
Ship-Right Solutions mapped and implemented separate data and reporting streams to accommodate the two very different sales channels. Process and reporting was “tailor-made” to fit each market within the same database. Carriers were chosen to fit the specific needs of each channel. Call routing was employed to facilitate the after-sale support component and Ship-Right even introduced the client to other vendors that later became critical in the supply chain.

Case Study #905 – Pastor Chuck Orchards

Challenge:
Pastor Chuck Orchards, a successful company local to Ship-Right Solutions, made the commitment to expand their small operation of producing and distributing high quality, organic apple products to regions outside of Northern New England. With the rapidly growing popularity of organically produced food items, the time for expansion was at hand. To honor this expansion commitment, they needed to be able to store larger amounts of inventory, to be able to meet delivery and routing standards for large distributors, to be EDI-compliant, and capable of accepting and fulfilling sales generated by e-commerce sources.
